CAESURA - FRESH PAINT 2023

CAESURA - A section between states that seem separate but are actually on a continuous spectrum, like the silence between the sounds in a melody, the gaps between heartbeats, and the connection between wandering and losing oneself and clinging to a path.
In this tension, Maiyan Ben Yona present bodies of work, creating in her unique language sculptural works that draw inspiration from routines as a compass for the way.

This year I chose to step out of my comfort zone, and together with Hila Nevo, a new body of work was born. Working on the project brought me back to many hours of work on the fossils and reminded me of the essence because of which I choose to do what I do.
